The journey began with founder Eric Nguyen, who entered the building industry through a traditional carpentry apprenticeship under the guidance of his father, a respected builder who has since retired. Learning firsthand from someone with decades of experience instilled in Eric a deep appreciation for detail, discipline, and doing things the right way from the very beginning. This early mentorship shaped not only his technical skills but also his values—values that continue to define Cire Constructions today.
From Carpenter to Licensed Builder
After successfully completing his apprenticeship, Eric continued to refine his carpentry expertise on a wide range of residential projects, gaining invaluable hands-on experience across all aspects of construction. Driven by a desire to expand his knowledge and offer a more comprehensive service to clients, he went on to study and complete a Diploma of Building and Construction. With this formal qualification, Eric obtained his builder’s licence, marking a pivotal milestone in his career. It was at this point that Cire Carpentry evolved into Cire Constructions, a full-service building company specialising in renovations, extensions, and custom residential projects across Melbourne.

Since its establishment, Cire Constructions has steadily grown into a trusted and reputable name within the local building industry. A key part of that growth has been Eric’s commitment to mentoring the next generation of tradespeople. Over the years, he has trained and supported numerous apprentices, many of whom have developed into highly skilled carpenters and continue to work alongside him today on Cire Constructions projects. This continuity not only reflects the strong culture within the business but also ensures a consistent standard of workmanship across every job.
